Idia Aisien is a Nigerian model and television presenter who has worked for brands including Vogue, LAN Airlines, BMW, Nivea, Alice + Olivia, Black Opal, J Brand, Cashhimi, Nikki Angelique, Samantha Pleet, Jovani, Evelyn Lambert, An Alili and Sway Hair Ltd, among others. She has also worked with such prestigious companies as Fox 5 News, the AARP Foundation, Discovery Communications, the Foreign Policy Initiative, the United Nations and Atlas Mara. She has graced the catwalk for such African designers as Maki Oh, Ituen Basi, Deola Sagoe and Lanre Da Silva. She has hosted The Mega Millions Lottery on Silverbird TV, You Got Issues, Rock the Runway and Style 101 (Africa’s answer to ‘Fashion Police’) all on SpiceTV. Born on July 4, 1991, in Lagos State, Nigeria to a Nigerian Champagne, Wine and Spirits magnate father, Dr. Joe Aisien and a Cameroonian Jeweler and philanthropist mother, Emmanuella Aisien, Idia is the last of twelve children. She belongs to both Nigerian and Cameroonian descent. She attended Atlantic Hall High School, in Lagos as a teenager. She later moved to the United States. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Business Administration from American University and master’s degree in International Public Relations and Global Corporate Communications from New York University. She currently resides in New York City.
