Guthrie married BBC News presenter Mark Orchard in 2005. She was his second wife. He was married before to journalist Anne Kornblut. However, Guthrie and Orchard divorced in 2009. She began dating Michael Feldman in the very same year. No wonder that she didn’t stay longer on the market. The got engaged in 2013 and married in 2014.

She later had another child with Feldman in 2016. In 2019, Savannah Guthrie suffered a torn retina when her son thrust a toy into her eye. After receiving extensive surgery, she was able to return to work in 2020.
